All the pieces that build up our door go through an anodizing process. The anodized is an electrolytic process of forced oxidation, where it generates a cover of aluminium oxide at the metal surface. At this process, it can goal several colour tones. The micronage at Perfiletto´s profiles, rounds between 12 to 16 microns. Our anodized has quality control for the colour tones.
This a finish given to the aluminium pieces where is applied a polyurethane class 2 superdurable base and then the piece is sublimated with heat transferable ink of polyester, achieving by this way the wood finish. The look maintains the wood veins and knots. The micronage at the wood sublimate process varies between 75 to 90 microns.
The aluminium pieces have a surface pretreatment process, where the pores open. Afterwards, powder paint (38 Series Superdurable) is applied, and it melts at the surface during the cured process. This ensures the adherence of the paint to the profile, achieving UV rays’ high resistance. The micronage at the electrostatic paint process varies between 80 to 100 microns.
Our pieces and accessories are submitted to saline corrosion tests, according to standard ASTM B117, which said that every 1000 h of exposure are suchlike 10 years exposed to beach or coast environment. At Perfiletto, the samples are submitted to more aggressive tests than indicated by the standard. They are tested on cycles of 3000 h, which are equivalent to an average of 20 to 30 years, maintaining their properties.
The finishes of our aluminium pieces and plastic accessories are submitted to 8000 h. test, suchlike 30 years of UV exposure. It is noted that at 2400 h, which is equivalent to 9 years approximately, there are not considerable disturbances at colour and brightness. At 8000 h, the disturbances still being almost imperceptible.
